SBC May 9th Meeting – Pauline Finn, ED, Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea & Peter Garnham, ED, Sidney Museum

Time ‘n Tide

Culture on the Saanich Peninsula

Good morning Sidney Breakfast Club members and welcome to gorgeous weather on the Peninsula! We’ve had an engaging series of employee retention and retraction themed speakers in 2019 (sporting events & culture, wellness and cycling, networking & soft skills) with our May SBC session representing our final topic in this engaging and informative series of speakers.

Culture is an important part of a healthy community. There are over 80 cultural activities on the Saanich Peninsula, providing education and entertainment to the population. Two key organizations are the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea and the Sidney Museum. Between them they attract around 90,000 visitors annually. Learn how these two important organizations originated and how they contribute to the health of our community. Our speakers will be Pauline Finn, Executive Director, Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea & Peter Garnham, Executive Director, Sidney Museum.

As always, the meeting is held at 7am on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Victoria Flying Club Dakota Café. Please join us on Thursday / May 9th / 7am and RSVP  john@harbourdigitalmedia.com only if you plan on attending.
